In 2025 Wirrum conducted a survey for a community driven bus service to run around Kununurra. A bus service in Kununurra could offer many benefits which would significantly impact the community’s well-being including enhanced connectivity, social inclusion, as well as a strategy to reduce drink driving in the area.
We are collaborating with other local organisations to progress this project as the outcomes of the community survey were very positive so we are dedicating time and energy to get it funded. If community members would like to give support towards the success and outcome of this project, please get in touch - We will be seeking support letter's from the community to advocate for this essential service in Kununurra.
